10ft containers are typically not utilized in shipping service. This means, 10ft containers do not come out of shipping service as used boxes. They are usually only available in new or “one trip” condition. A new or “one trip” container, is not used in shipping and is sent from the factory to the US (loaded with cargo or empty) and then sold in the aftermarket for storage purposes. In order to provide a used 10ft container, we’ve taken a used 20ft container and cut it in half. The two halves are then enclosed, and cargo doors are added to the half without doors. This allows us to offer used 10ft containers, that are more affordable than new or “one trip” 10ft containers.
